Who can rent The Prep Kitch’n?
The Prep Kitch’n is available to food entrepreneurs, caterers, bakers, food truck operators, food cart vendors, and approved nonprofits who meet all licensing, insurance, and health department requirements.
How do I become a kitchen member?
Complete an application, select a membership or hourly plan, upload required documents to The Food Corridor, and complete kitchen orientation. Access is granted after approval.
Is this a long-term commitment?
No long-term commitment is required. The agreement remains active until terminated with 30 days’ written notice.
How long does the agreement last?
The agreement is effective upon signing and continues until terminated by either party with proper notice.
Is The Prep Kitch’n a shared or private kitchen?
The kitchen is shared overall, but members have exclusive access during their booked time.

Do I need insurance?
Yes. Proof of liability insurance is required for all members.

What happens if my documents expire?
Access may be suspended until updated documents are provided.

How do I book kitchen time?
All kitchen time must be booked through The Food Corridor platform.
Can I show up if the kitchen looks empty?
No. Kitchen use is allowed only during confirmed and paid booking times.
What are the access hours?
Access hours are based on membership level and kitchen availability.
Do I have exclusive access during my booked time?
Yes. Members have exclusive access during their scheduled booking.
What happens if I arrive late or leave early?
Your booking time remains the same. Unused time is not refundable or transferable.
Can I pay to dump gray water, trash, or grease without a membership?
No. All water, trash, and grease disposal services are available exclusively to active members of The Prep Kitch’n. We do not offer pay-per-use or “dump-only” services. How do I pay for kitchen time?
All payments are processed through The Food Corridor.
What happens if my payment is late?
A $35 late fee applies after a 5-day grace period.
What is the cancellation policy?
A $75 cancellation fee applies if canceled within 48 hours of scheduled time.
What is the no-show policy?
A $100 no-show fee will be charged.
Are consulting services included?
Planning and consultation services are not included with hourly kitchen use and are available as an add-on. Services are included in monthly packages.
How we protect the space and keep things running smoothly.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A $200 refundable security deposit is required.
When is my security deposit refunded?
Deposits are refunded after membership termination, provided no damages or violations occurred.
What happens if I damage equipment or the facility?
Damage fees are based on repair or replacement costs.

Am I responsible for cleaning?
Yes. Members must clean and sanitize their work area after each use.
What happens if I don’t clean properly?
A $100 cleaning violation fee may be charged.
Can I bring guests or helpers?
Only approved employees or staff may be present during kitchen use.
Are children allowed in the kitchen?
No. Children or minors under 16 are not allowed.
Are pets allowed?
No. Pets or animals are not permitted.
Can delivery drivers enter the kitchen?
Only approved and scheduled deliveries may be accepted.
Who can use the disposal services (trash, grease, and water)?
Disposal services are for members only.

Can I store food in the kitchen?
Yes, with restrictions.
Can I store cold or frozen food?
Cold and frozen items may be stored only during your scheduled kitchen time and must be removed after your booking ends.
Can I leave food overnight?
No overnight or long-term cold or frozen storage is permitted unless approved.
Can I store dry goods?
Dry storage may be approved if space allows. Members must provide their own shelving unit, preferably caged and secured.
What happens if I leave food behind?
Unapproved or unlabeled items may be discarded or result in violation fees.

Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes, with prior approval and if space allows. Equipment must meet safety and health standards.
Can I store my equipment in the kitchen?
Limited storage may be available if space allows and approval is granted.
Is equipment storage guaranteed?
No. Storage availability is limited and not guaranteed.
Who is responsible for stored equipment?
Members are responsible for their own equipment. The Prep Kitch’n is not liable for loss or damage.

Is kitchen orientation required?
Yes. All members must complete orientation before their first booking.
Can I use the kitchen before orientation?
No. Access is granted only after orientation is completed.
Do my staff need orientation?
Staff may require orientation depending on their role and kitchen use.
Do you offer help with menu planning or event consultation services included?
Menu planning and event consultation services are not included with hourly kitchen use. We offer the following support options:
Kitchen Planning Session – $99 Includes menu guidance, quantity planning, and a basic cost breakdown.
Additional Consulting – $75/hour For more in-depth or ongoing support beyond the initial planning session.
All consultation services are scheduled separately and are available after onboarding is complete.

Is The Prep Kitch’n responsible for my food or customers?
No. Members are fully responsible for their food products and customers.
What does indemnify mean?
Members agree to protect The Prep Kitch’n from claims related to their business operations.
Can my agreement be terminated?
Yes. Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice.
What causes immediate termination?
Unsafe practices, policy violations, failure to maintain documentation, or repeated health violations.

Do I need full kitchen membership to use Vendor Access?
No. Vendor Access is a separate membership designed for vendors who only need a commercial location to receive supplies and pick them up.
Can Prep Kitch’n receive my order for me?
No. You must be present at the time of delivery. Deliveries will not be accepted or held on your behalf.
Can I leave items there and come back later?
No. All items must be picked up the same day, immediately upon delivery.
Does Vendor Access include storage?
No. Refrigerated, freezer, and dry storage are not included.
Can I use the sink, dump trash, or dispose of grease?
No. Vendor Access does not include disposal services of any kind.
What if I need kitchen access later?
You can upgrade to one of our kitchen membership options if your business needs change.
